Privacy Policy

Who we are

RevvLog operates revvlog.com, a maintenance tracking platform for vehicles and equipment. This policy describes how we collect, use, and share personal data when you use our website and services.

For privacy questions, contact us at privacy@revvlog.com .

Data we collect

Depending on how you use RevvLog, we may process:

  • Account data: email address, name, password hash (if you use email/password sign-in), timezone, unit preferences, and email notification preferences.
  • Google sign-in: if you choose Google OAuth, we receive your Google account identifier, email, and name as permitted by Google.
  • Organization and team data: organization names, membership roles, invitations, and additional notification email addresses you add in Settings.
  • Asset and service data: vehicles and equipment you add (including VIN or serial number when provided), service logs, fuel logs, reminders, documents and receipts you upload, and related cost or usage information.
  • Billing data: subscription tier and Stripe customer identifiers. Payment card details are processed by Stripe and are not stored on RevvLog servers.
  • Communications: emails we send you (welcome, verification, password reset, invitations, maintenance reminders, monthly reports, and similar transactional messages), and feedback you submit through Settings.
  • Usage and device data: if you accept analytics cookies, information such as pages visited, approximate location, device type, and browser via Google Analytics.

How we use data

We use personal data to:

  • Provide, secure, and improve the RevvLog service
  • Authenticate you and manage your account and organizations
  • Send transactional and optional product emails (reminders and monthly reports can be turned off in Settings)
  • Process subscriptions and billing through Stripe
  • Decode VINs and look up recall information via NHTSA when you use those features
  • Understand site usage when you consent to analytics cookies, so we can improve the product
  • Respond to support requests and feedback

Legal basis

Where GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on:

  • Contract — to provide the service you signed up for (account, garage, reminders, billing)
  • Legitimate interests — security, fraud prevention, service reliability, and product improvement that does not override your rights
  • Consent — for analytics cookies (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). Your choice is stored in a site cookie named revvlog_cookie_consent. You may withdraw consent at any time by using Cookie preferences in the site footer (which clears that cookie and shows the banner again), by deleting cookies for revvlog.com in your browser, or by clearing all site data for this site.

Analytics cookies

If you accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics (Google LLC) to collect information about how you use our site. We use Google Consent Mode: the Google Analytics tag may load with analytics cookies disabled until you accept. If you reject analytics cookies, Google Analytics does not store analytics cookies on your device.

Sharing and processors

We share personal data with service providers only as needed to operate RevvLog, including:

  • Stripe — payment processing and customer portal
  • Google — OAuth sign-in (when you choose it) and Analytics (when you consent)
  • NHTSA — VIN decode and recall lookups you request
  • Email delivery — our SMTP provider to send transactional and notification emails
  • Hosting infrastructure — servers and databases that store and serve the application

We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of RevvLog and our users.

Retention and deletion

We retain account and service data while your account is active and as needed to provide the product, meet legal obligations, and resolve disputes. Analytics data is retained according to Google's privacy policy and your Google account settings where applicable.

You can delete your account in Settings (Danger zone). Deletion removes your account and associated personal data from our systems, subject to limited records we may need to keep for billing, security, or legal compliance.

Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal data, and to object to certain processing or withdraw consent. To exercise these rights or ask questions about this policy, contact us at privacy@revvlog.com .

You can also manage email notification preferences and delete your account in Settings when signed in.

Children's privacy

RevvLog is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, contact privacy@revvlog.com and we will take appropriate steps.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date below reflects the latest revision. Continued use of RevvLog after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
